DuBois, PA – With Sandy Township looking to sell off its water system and waste-water system, the City of DuBois could be interested.

DuBois will also reach out to Aqua, the company that took ownership of the Treasure Lake water system in 2013.

The city hopes to supply the Aqua system with water, potentially as a win/win for those upset with an upcoming new treatment facility that could be built on Barbary Coast Court in Treasure Lake, which some of the residents are upset about.

City manager Herm Suplizio says the city has about 2 million gallons of excess water, all of which is already great quality.

There’s no word yet on whether Sandy Township will allow the City of DuBois to supply them with water.

City officials say they’re looking for community support on the issue, especially from people in Treasure Lake.
