BENEFIT DINNER FOR JASON MILLER IN BIG RUN
May 20 @ 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Help support a local man with heart issues by attending a benefit spaghetti dinner in Big Run on Sunday, May 20.
The Big Run War Memorial Fund and Big Run Volunteer Fire Department are hosting a benefit for Jason Miller to raise money to help the family with medical and travel expenses.
Jason has been a Big Run volunteer fireman for over 20 years.
The dinner will be held on Sunday, May 20 from noon until 5 p.m. at the War Memorial in Big Run.
Tickets and takeouts are available at the door. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 6-10. Kids 5 and younger eat free.
Dinners include spaghetti, salad, bread, desert, and beverage.
There will also be a basket raffle and 50/50 raffle.
In the summer of 2017, Jason started experiencing heart issues that have no allowed him to work. He has been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy/congestive heart failure with left branch bundle block which caused his heart to function at a 20% capacity also causing large amounts of fluid to build up in his body.
In February 2018, he received a defibrillator pacemaker that has led to additional trips and stays in the hospital including a life flight trip to Pittsburgh.
He is now facing a 14-hour surgery to hopefully correct these issues with his heart.
