MOTORCYCLIST FLED AFTER HIGH-SPEED CHASE NEAR ROCKTON

Rockton, PA – A motorcyclist fled and wasn’t able to be captured after a high-speed chase through the Rockton area last night, and police want you to be on the lookout for the man involved.

State Police in DuBois clocked a motorcyclist going 82 miles per hour along Route 322, east of Rockton, last night around 8:45.

When the trooper pulled out to pull over the motorcycle, it sped up to about 95 mph. Police pursued it for several miles at a high speed, weaving in and out of traffic, before the motorcycle turned onto Helvetia Road toward Luthersburg.

Troopers followed for another 1.5 miles before ending the pursuit for the safety of the surrounding community.

The motorcycle was a black cruiser-style bike with a blue LED light on the back. The motorcycle also had a black bag strapped to its rear, partially covering the registration plate. The driver seemed to be a white man, wearing a black leather jacket with tan sleeves and a black helmet.

They put hundreds of innocent drivers and pedestrians at risk.
