MOTORCYCLIST CRASHES INTO POLE WHILE PASSING VEHICLE

Pine Creek Township, PA – A Reynoldsville motorcyclist had to be flown to the hospital after crashing into a utility pole while trying to pass another vehicle.

32-year-old Corey Williams had been riding his motorcycle along Route 322 on Sunday afternoon when he lost control while trying to pass a vehicle driven by a New Derry woman.

He slid off of the road and into a utility pole.

Williams suffered injuries of unknown severity and was flown to UPMC Altoona by medical helicopter.

His current condition is unknown.

35-year-old Shannon Jewell, who had been driving the vehicle he had passed, was uninjured. Her vehicle had minor damage.
