DuBois, PA – A Reynoldsville woman is being accused of stealing money from a notary service where she worked.

33-year-old Heather Woodel had been working at DBA Ace Notary Services in DuBois.

Another local business in May 2017 said that he had sold cars to seven people and had done the title transfer at the notary, but he never received the titles from PennDOT.

After an investigation, it was found that the titles never came because Woodel had never sent them.

Instead, Woodel reportedly admitted that she had used the money meant for title transfer and registration to pay her own personal debts.

Woodel admitted to signing 99 bad checks for a total of $14,335.06.

Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 17.
