National Day of Prayer 2018
DuBois, PA – People throughout our country will pause for a moment today for the National Day of Prayer.
Local churches, community members, politicians and government officials will join together at the courtyard of the DuBois City Building tonight from 6 until 7 p.m., and you’re invited to come too.
If it’s raining tonight at 6, the prayer ceremony will be moved to inside the City Building. The theme this year is praying for unity in our country.
Pennsylvania – According to the most recent census, about 21 percent of kids in the US are raised by single parents.
About 82 percent of single parents are mothers and 18 percent are fathers raising their kids alone.
Robert Beeson is a Christian music executive and author of “Going Solo: Hope and Healing for the Single Mom or Dad.”
Beeson says that when his wife left him unexpectedly and raised his three young girls by himself,
Curwensville, PA – Two churches in Curwensville were vandalized either Wednesday or Thursday.
The Grace Lutheran Church on Pine Street and Curwensville Christian Church on State Street were both sprayed with red and black spray paint.
Police believe the spray painting happened sometime between 3 p.m. Wednesday and 3 p.m. Thursday.
This comes just after someone lit a small fire outside of the Lutheran Fellowship Church on Pine Street in Curwensville early Wednesday morning.
