Reynoldsville, PA – After a fun weekend in Reynoldsville with the annual Red White and Blueberry Festival, some students are walking away with cash prizes… and blue noses.

On Saturday, kids competed to see who could finish a half a blueberry pie the fastest. Tashanna Bowker took first place with $100, Eli Redmond came in second with $75, and Max Hoogeveen came in third with a prize of $50.

All the other contestants got a little bit of spending money in the pockets though,

Punxsutawney, PA – The 2018 Punxsutawney Groundhog Festival will be held kicks off this Sunday and lasts until Saturday, July 7.

This Sunday, it’s the car cruise and a Christian worship band, Reach The Masses. On Monday, it’s the diaper derby for kids and country music from The Hillbilly Way. Tuesday, there’s a 5K run or 2 mile walk, plus up-tempo pop, rock, and disco music from Tool Shed Jack.

ART WALK ON THE BLOCK LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS/ARTISTS

DuBois, PA – The Downtown DuBois Art Walk on the Block is still nearly three months away, but work has already started.

The art committee is looking for artists who want to display their work or play music during the event, which is scheduled for Saturday, June 2.

ST. MICHAEL’S POLISH FESTIVAL THIS SUNDAY AND MONDAY

DuBois, PA – St. Michael’s Polish Festival is always a hit in DuBois! Come enjoy all of your Polish favorites this Sunday and Monday at the St. Michael’s church grounds on Robinson Street.

The festival takes place on Sunday from noon to 10 and Monday from noon to 5.

BROOKVILLE PLANNING ON REVIVING LAUREL FEST NEXT YEAR

Brookville, PA – The Laurel Festival will be back next year, and Brookville Council is happy about that!

Brookville Council last night commended community volunteers for their plans in reviving next year’s Laurel Festival. A steering committee has been formed by members of the fire company to jump-start the festival.

The previous Laurel board and president have agreed to pass leadership onto new members and assist wherever needed. So far, numerous individuals have come forward proposing several new events that may see the festival returning to a week-long event.
