FREE CAREER DEVELOPMENT CLASSES IN DUBOIS

If you or someone you know is unemployed, underemployed, or just having a hard time making the transition into today’s job market, Community Action, Inc.’s New Choices Career Development workshops will help!

Workshops are FREE and provide training in computer skills; career assessment and exploration; job search and readiness; stress reduction and time management; development of self-esteem and confidence; and the establishment of goals, resume preparation, and interview skills.

Transportation and child care assistance may be provided while attending workshops.

FREE GED/HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA CLASSES

Orientation and assessments to enter Community Action, Inc.’s free classes. Classes held at IUP in Punxsutawney; Community Action, Inc. office in Clarion; Jeff Tech in Reynoldsville; and Rebecca M. Arthurs Memorial Library in Brookville.

Community Action, Inc. can help you achieve your New Year’s Resolution by obtaining your high school diploma/GED®, advancing in your career, or taking the next step on the path to trade school or college.

Classes are free and available in Clarion and Jefferson Counties.

 

LIFELONG LEARNING CLASSES

Interested in learning something new? The Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, Inc., in collaboration with Lock Haven University Clearfield, announces an upcoming educational seminar offered through the Clearfield Community Lifelong Learning Institute. Courses are geared towards the interests of the baby boomers and older citizens.  Typical sessions will last approximately 90 minutes and will be taught primarily by Lock Haven University faculty and community individuals with specific expertise. All programs will be free, or very low cost.
